Uniondale, NY – October 25, 2016 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek P.C., announced the addition of four seasoned partners to its corporate and its financial departments – Steven J. Kuperschmid, Peter Marullo, Russell H. Stern and Gavin C. Grusd.  Also, bolstering the Corporate & Securities Department are Neil Novikoff, Of Counsel, and Adam C. Sosnik, Associate.  All were most recently at another Long Island firm.

Steven Kuperschmid will serve as Co-Chair of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Department along with Irvin Brum, one of Long Island’s most highly regarded business lawyers.  Also joining that department will be Russell Stern, Gavin Grusd, and Neil Novikoff.  Peter Marullo will co-chair the Financial Services, Banking & Bankruptcy Department, and also serve in the Real Estate Department.  Silvers continued, “The combined experience and expertise of these four new partners and counsel will provide unmatched value to our clients.”

Steven Kuperschmid received his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law, and also holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University. He has vast experience representing start-ups, entrepreneurs, family businesses, privately owned institutional companies and private equity funds in mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions, and counsels on board advisory and corporate governance matters. He also has significant experience representing buyers and sellers of troubled companies, and has worked in a broad range of industries including technology, pharmaceutical and chemical, health care, retail, construction, and manufacturing and distribution.

Peter Marullo is a graduate of Columbia College and St. John’s School of Law. A veteran of major Manhattan law firms, Peter has represented developers, banks, health care providers, and Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of real estate transactions, including ground leasing, retail and office leasing, construction contracts, the assemblage of parcels for development, and real estate financing.  He has also represented many financial institutions in connection with large commercial lending transactions.

Russell H. Stern is a graduate of Duke University and The George Washington University Law School. He has served as lead counsel to several of Long Island’s largest privately owned companies on all types of corporate transactions, and has counseled businesses and entrepreneurial endeavors of all types and sizes in industries that include manufacturing, telecommunications, energy and fuel development, waste management and real estate construction. He has successfully negotiated complex personal and business disputes to his clients’ satisfaction in excess of $500 million.

Gavin C. Grusd holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Binghamton University and a Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law.  He has counseled companies and business owners on business formation and structure including the development of operating, shareholder and partnership agreements, private and public offerings, and in strategic and financial acquisitions or sales. He also has represented public companies in all aspects of securities regulation, compliance and reporting, and has counseled on complex commercial licensing, e-commerce and technology development transactions.

Neil Novikoff has over 30 years’ experience in corporate and securities matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and other complex transactions for national and international clients in a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical and life sciences, technology and manufacturing, and the fashion and apparel business. He received his bachelor’s degree  from Fordham University and Juris Doctor degree from Fordham Law School.

Adam C. Sosnik holds a bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College, a Master’s in Business Administration from the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University and a Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. His experience includes guiding clients through the process of forming and financing business entities, purchasing and selling company assets and merging or dissolving companies. He is also experienced in working with board of directors for both for-profit and not-for-profit corporations.
