Jay B. Silverman Named Alternate Delegate to the New York State Bar Association’s House of Delegates

Uniondale, Long Island, New York, June 13, 2016 – Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that partner Jay B. Silverman, Esq., co-chair of the firm’s Health Law Department, has been appointed an Alternate Delegate to New York State Bar Association’s House of Delegates from its Health Law Section.  The New York State Bar Association is the largest voluntary state bar association in the nation with more than 75,000 members. Members include private practitioners in small and large firms, government and public service attorneys, legal educators, judges and law students. The House of Delegates is the governing and policy-making body of the Bar Association. Action taken by the House of Delegates on specific issues becomes official State Bar policy.

Mr. Silverman, formerly the Assistant General Counsel for the Medical Society of the State of New York, has extensive experience and knowledge in the area of health law as well as other related areas of practice.  His clients include physician practices, all types of license health care professionals, practice management companies and other entities providing ancillary services to the health care industry.  Mr. Silverman handles a wide variety of transactional matters including the formation and breakup of professional practices.  He also counsels clients in connection with federal and state regulatory matters including civil and criminal health care fraud investigations.

Mr. Silverman is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.
