Summer internships are an integral part of our law firm’s recruiting effort and the foundation for hiring new associates. Our summer associates have strong academic records, are heavily involved in community activities and have the experience and maturity needed to thrive in our professional, intelligent and friendly environment.
Through the opportunity to work on projects in a range of practice groups, interns are exposed to the various types of law and also gain valuable insight into the firm’s practice groups, work ethic and quality of life. Interns will be provided with the resources needed to succeed, including a junior associate/“buddy” assignment, many mentoring and training programs, and an opportunity to “shadow” a different partner each week. We believe that after spending a summer with us, interns will truly know what is expected of a practicing attorney at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek.
The small size of our summer internship class—typically three interns—and the various firm-sponsored social events provide opportunities to build and solidify relationships with colleagues and many attorneys within the firm.
Here’s what former summer associates have to say:
“Ruskin values the people it brings into the firm and from the first day I was working side-by-side with partners on important client matters…”
“Summer associates are treated as members of the RMF team from the first day, as is evidenced by the work assignments and the firm’s commitment to the summer associate program… I was assigned to real cases with real stakes and interacted with clients on a daily basis. I even had the opportunity to advocate on behalf of a client. My work product was truly valuable to the client and the firm.”
“Make no mistake about it, you will work hard, but if you are willing to commit the effort required to succeed at a top law firm, it will be a rewarding experience.”
